Final Reflection

-If I were to say I'm gonna miss posting blogs, I'd be a liar. If i were to say I'm gonna miss stressing over this project for 8 weeks, I'd be a liar. But i did have fun, and I'm pretty happy with my work, so it's all good in the end. 

-looking back, I wish I had further developed the opening shot, cuz going in I didn't really know what I was doing. And the end result was different shots smushed together, which worked in the end but i would have loved to have a more intricate shot to kick off the movie. I also wish I had coordinated shooting better, having some days be super rushed and not taken seriously. I also wish I bought the battle pass back in season 4 cuz the omega skin is so cool. I rlly should have gotten a job. I also should have used legitimate microphones during filming but i didn't. Im super passionate about the premise of the film and i'm definitely gonna keep writing, going off of what i've already got, and then maybe making it for a festival, and redoing all the stuff I did here but better.

-And idk whats gonna happen in the rest of the movie but fred durst is gonna be in it. Also i've been playing minecraft cuz im super excited for the minecraft movie. "This... is a crafting table" -Minecraft steve from the minecraft movie. Im also getting my drivers licence in april so i'm super pumped for that. This project is by far the best thing ive produced on my own. Not only is it the culmination of everything i've learned, but it was also super fun hanging out with my friends. Its kinda like how adam sandler gets all his buddies in his movies. Also when I make it big im gonna use my film earnings to buy every streaming service in the world and shut them all down.

Week 8 Post 2: CCR Post Production

CCR Post Production

-alright so on thursday I got with my buddies and we filmed the first CCR and a bit more of the main project. But one of my friends was super late but he brought a pizza which was pretty cool and we put it in the CCR. We shot the first part of the video but then the camera died so we used are phones for the rest of it and we didn't really take it seriously and my hair looked stupid so im gonna reshoot the actual questions part of it tomorrow along with the second CCR in its entirety and then im gonna edit both and post it all

-and then after shooting we watched dexter and ate pizza

-also last night i saw deftones and they werre super cool but the one band that opened sucked. I got a cool hat that says deftones on it. I rlly wanted them to play engine no 9 cuz thats my second favorite deftones song behind Passenger, which i knew they weren't gonna play cuz the guy from TOOL sings on it. I thought they were gonna end the show with it cuz they had played 2 songs from that album back to back. I rlly wanna see disturbed next month but their lead singer had some sucky opinions on current events so I'm not giving him any of my hard earned money.

Week 8 Post 1: CCR Production

-Alright guys so to prepare for my role as dexter I went to the gym to replicate Micheal C. Hall's godlike physique. And then I went home and the battery i got from CBTV was dead. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! 

So now im gonna film questions 3 and 4 on thursday and 1 and 2 on Friday cuz I have a haircut on thursday and since the two videos lead into eachother I wanna have hair consistency. Also i got an idea for the CBTV CCR video so like when im talking in the pool it would be funny if you could see the script for the ccr floating in front of me.

-Im gonna keep writing here as production in here but i just wanted to get this out as a general production update

I had initially made the font for my name a bit extra but after i watched the family guy clip where peter talks about the godfather saying it insists upon itself i decided that the font i used insists upon itself so i changed it to a more consevative font.

Week 7 Post 4: Script for Questions 1 and two

-alright so Im at work rn and the script is on my laptop which I dont have so ill get it on here later today but i've got some stuff to yammer on about

also im super duper close to finishing editing

-OK so im gonna film the dexter CCR before the CBTV one cuz i have to film that one on thursday. im also getting a haircut on thursday so  ignore the hair differences between the 2 CCRs. and after I film the CCR im gonna film a couple more shots for my main project. cuz I'm basically done with it but it needs to be a smidge longer. ill put the final final script here when i get home

-one thing i learned is that the warp stabilizer on premiere works best when the shot doesn't have a subject like a person. Cuz i used it on one shot in the beginning and it worked super duper well but when i tried it on another shot it was straight booty. 

-I also decided to make the CBTV video answer questions 3 and 4 cuz they're both more technically
aligned while 1 and 2 require more thought out answers.

Week 7 Post 3: Questions 3 and 4 Update

CCR #2 Epic Update

-So I made some tweaks to the initial script so u can see the super duper awesome epic legendary new version right here -------> CLICK ME PLSSSSS😎😎😎

-so in terms of the creative aspects of it, Im gonna use CBTV equipment for the part of the video thats from the perspective of a Today at the bay or aftershock r whatever. And for the end of it, where the perspective shifts im gonna use the same camera I used in the main project and use more cinematic shots, showing that its no longer a part of the CBTV episode. I would ideally film it at a sunsetty time but if it doesnt fit with my friends schedule its not a big deal. And to expand on the main project Im gonna add a sewuernce where the two sit down on the rug while on the sidewalk and talk about stuff. That along with the studio logos is gonna get me to the right time YIPPPEEEE!!!🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆

-So I'm basically done with this script, I just gotta find out the name of the camera I used. Im wondering if i should include which graphics im gonna use during the interviews, but I think i'll just decide that during the editing phase. But I do have this cool idea for a shot. Since Mrs. Stoklosa said to not put screenshots of articles or websites, Im gonna get a cool shot of my computer on the website, while scrolling down it.

-I found this group meeting super duper helpful, through seeing what others are doing with their projects, AND REALIZING MINE NEEDS TO BE WAY LONGER!!!!😡😡😡

-but for what I do have, I received a standing ovation. but everyone but me got hit by an amnesia ray and everyone forgot but me. but it for sure happened.

-Im gonna write the first CCR script between today and Friday, and then film it over the weekend. And since the location for that is the same as the actual project, I can get some more footage to get the right length. Im thinking of expanding the establishing shot at the beginning and adding to the ext scene.

-Esta reunión grupal me resultó súper útil, al ver lo que otros están haciendo con sus proyectos y darme cuenta de que el mío necesita ser mucho más largo. 😡😡😡

-Pero por lo que tengo, recibí una ovación de pie. Pero todos menos yo sufrimos un rayo de amnesia y todos lo olvidaron menos yo. Pero sin duda sucedió.

-Escribiré el primer guion de CCR entre hoy y el viernes, y luego lo filmaré el fin de semana. Y como la locación es la misma que la del proyecto, puedo conseguir más material para lograr la duración adecuada.

-For the song Im using in the opening, i had initially reduced the volume during dialogue using keyframes, slowly lowering the volume, but I switched to hard cuts in volume and i think it works better. I also played with the color correction, making shadows teal and highlights orange, while also making the exterior shots a bit warmer, correlation with the setting and dialogue regarding the heat of the environment.

-Now i'm unsure if its just my own bias but one of the shots from the first day of shooting isnt meshing well with the others in terms of color. Ive tried many things but now im gonna get an outside opinion on it, to see if its just me.

Week 6 Post 3: CCR Outline

-sup chat, so I havent really looked into the CCR questions as of writing cuz ive been locked in on editing. But I do know what I wanna do for the creative aspects of the two videos.

VIDEO 1

-so for this one I wanna do it from the perspective of CBTV people interviewing the esteemed director of an award winning film (me ofc). My character is gonna be an over the top and egotistical, director, living an extravagant life in a large mansion.

-And for this one its gonna be the director being taken by Dexter Morgan and put on the table (if yk yk) and he asks him questions relevant to the CCR but in a much more dramatic fashion compared to the previous CCR. Building off of said CCR, I'm gonna play the director as much more of a sissy, making what's seen of him in his last appearance more humorous.

-So far I've gotten a rough assembly of the clips, with some tweaking necessary. One major thing I've accomplished has been color grading the shots. I had to do some basic correction to shots filmed on the first day, since day 1 shots were shot later into the day than day 2 shots. I also took the interior shots and tweaked with shadows and highlights, making shadows teal and highlights orange. With this in affect it creates a much more professional looking project. And for the exterior shots, I've been playing with temp and saturation to give off the warm summer vibes I wanna put across. And the final thing I've done is made a rough list of sounds I need, and whether I can get them online or make them myself.

Day 2 Filming cont.

this is really cool

I ate an apple after filming and then I went home. It tasted really good. It was red. then i went home on my bike. the sun was out and was making it warm out, but there was a breeze which made it less warm. I main moon knight in marvel rivals because his long range attacks and ability to get out of areas with haste suit my play style well. I find his R1 ability useful when dealing with flying characters. For example, under normal circumstances a flying character would be difficult to hit. But with moon knight's R1, blades thrown at the ankh (which is thrown down with R1) go straight to the flying enemy if they are in the ankh's radius. During filming I had a difficult time figuring out the opening shot. I just couldn't really put across what I had in mind. But in the editing stage i was able to figure it out using footage from Friday.

-So today went super duper well. I was much more prepared and efficient this time around, having a better idea of what i'm doing. I actually used a tripod this time around (i know crazy right) So yea not much needs to be said here. It was way better filming earlier in the day, and taking down the set was a breeze.

-to prepare for day 2 of shooting, I utilized the massive amount of free time I have at work. With my low amount of work to do in the first half of the day, and the fading amount of people coming by my desk, my duties begin to taper. I made a shot list and storyboarded some of the shots, which I won't even bother to put here; Im really the only person who can understand what I scribbled down. Thats kinda it for now
